The mandate of the Government Relations Office (GRO) is to advance policies and positions that align with the mission of the University of Toronto and support the efforts of government to develop sound public policy. GRO is organized in three units: Government Relations and Public Policy, University Relations, and Stakeholder Engagement and Strategic Initiatives. Our goal is to ensure that governments recognize, enable, and publicly articulate the unique role played by the University of Toronto in civic, provincial, and national capacity-building.
